Ongoing Through Easter 2018: The Gospel of John

“The Gospel of John” is unlike the other Gospels in several respects. It is written by a dear companion of Jesus, the Beloved Disciple. John’s Gospel offers us an “eagle’s eye” view of Jesus’ life. Not only is Jesus clearly Priest, Prophet, and King, Jesus is also the Eternal Word, the Son of God. Through John’s eyes, we can study the cast of the wedding at Cana, the Samaritan woman, the Adulteress, and Lazarus as they confront who Jesus really is. Through John’s eyes, we can learn how Jewish feasts reveal the pivotal moments of the life of Jesus and His mission as the Promised Messiah, sent because “God so loved the world”. This course is an in-depth, intriguing, and penetrating scripture study of the “The Gospel of John”, presented by Lavinia Spirito and Catholic Way Bible Study. Format: 23 1hr videos, supplemental-read aheads.

About Faith Matters

Adult Education programming here at Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish is known as “Faith Matters.” This name implies two things: that we learn about matters of the Faith, and that this growth inspires us to remember that our Faith truly does matter—to us and to those with whom we share it. A variety of programming is provided, with opportunities to meet on a weekly basis during the day or evening.
