Fourth Sunday of Advent

This year, the Fourth Sunday of Advent is also Christmas Eve. For weeks, we have been preparing for this celebration—cleaning, decorating, baking, and shopping. But are we truly prepared to greet our Savior? Have we prepared our hearts to joyfully meet him when he comes again? Are we longing for a fulfillment that cannot be provided by the physical gifts of Christmas, but rather only by the spiritual gifts of peace, joy, and love?

Prepare a way, even now, for the Lord to come to you, to enter your heart, to make straight the paths of your life. Imagine what He can do if you just open your heart, and allow him to enter in.

Imagine the glory of the Lord revealed within you, then shared with others. This is what prepares us to experience the true joy of Christmas. All you need to do is invite Him in.
