As soon as Mary heard from the angel that her elderly cousin Elizabeth was also pregnant, she began preparations to visit her. Both had experienced God’s grace in an extraordinary way, and as soon as they met they began to talk about the acts of God in their lives.
Mary’s beautiful Magnificat, its name drawn from the first word in the Latin translation, is a hymn of praise to God’s blessings.
How many persons will travel in the upcoming Christmas season to visit family and friends? What if a major part of the conversation focused on how God is working in their lives! “My soul magnifies the Lord, because…”
