Tomorrow the O Antiphons begin at Mass, and with them the Church awakens within us the sense of longing, eagerness, excitement, anticipation for the return of the Lord. We are immersed in the expectation and excitement of the prophet Isaiah at foreseeing and foretelling the future day of the Lord.
God came to our world as a baby in a manger; God comes to each of us, wanting to indwell and walk with us and lead us to all that is good; God will come visibly and in glory. This is Good News: imagine Emmanuel — God-with-us!
